Preparation

• Install MS SQL 2005 Express or higher and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), a supported database such as MS SQL and a webserver on the target computer
• Download Polar Help Desk Professional at http://www.polarsoftware.com/products/servicedesk/freeversion.asp

Installation

• Extract the files
• If you agree with the Polar license you will be allowed to continue
• Give your site and virtual directory a name and follow a further instructions
