What is a Service Level Agreement?
.

A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is the contract between the Business Unit and the Service about what kind of Service Level will be provided for the Business Unit. The Service Level Agreement actually connects the service and the service level so as the receiver gets the requested service. The same Service and Business Unit can have only one Service Level Agreement.

If a business unit does not have a SLA defined for a certain service, it is always assigned the default level of service (which is by default set to a lowest level of service).
