What is Incident Closure Classification?
.

When closing incidents, Incident Closure Classification field can be defined. In “Incident Data” tab you can administer incident closure classifications. You are allowed to define multiple incident closure classifications which will be used by Help Desk personnel to classify incidents when closing them.

By default, the following incident origins are defined:

- (None)

- Advice Given

- Bug Reported

- Documentation needs reviewing

- Follow up

- Monitoring Required

- No fault found

- Unknown

In “Incident Data” tab the list of all existing incident closure classific ations is displayed. It consists of two columns: “Incident Closure Classification” and “Blocked”. In the first column the names of all existing incident closure classifications are listed. The “Blocked” column determines weather incident closure classification is disabled (not available) for Service User or Help Desk personnel when new incident is being closed.
