How Do I Set Permissions For A Role
.

There are four types of actions given by permissions:

  • POST -- create new
  • GET -- view
  • PUT -- edit/save
  • DELETE -- delete

For example, when you check in Role

  • PUT /incident/{ID}, you are giving permission to edit/save every incident.
  • PUT /incident/3, you are giving permission to edit/save incident with ID 3
  • GET /incidents, you are giving permission to view list of incidents
  • DELETE /incident/{ID}, you are giving permission to delete every incident
  • POST /incident/template/{ID}, you are giving permission to create new incident from incident template with ID 3

According to permissions, items in navigation will be visible or not, and buttons on forms will be active or not.

When you change permissions in some Role, each member of Team/Account that are in that Role will have permissions according to that change.
