What Is The Difference Between Resolved And Completed Status

When an incident is in resolved status, the supporter has proposed a solution to the submitter and it is waiting for a feedback if a solution was satisfied. If the proposed solution is not satisfied, the incident status will change to 'in progress' status.

On the other hand, when an incident is a completed status, no more work is required. Submitter has confirmed that the solution solved the problem.
